Campfire

A spark begins a campfire’s flickering light
Two old friends gather embracing the night
With guitars in hand their melodies blend
Their muse a secret as time starts to mend

That spark now a fire its warmth begins to grow
Drawing friends near like a river’s gentle flow
They strum and they sing recalling old times
A symphony of memories cherished in their minds

As flames dance higher more souls do appear
Drawn to the laughter to stories held dear
Tales of triumph and loss fill the air
Bound by friendship’s thread a bond beyond compare

Through laughter and tears they share their fears
Echoes of joy mingling with heartfelt cheers
A chorus of mirth interrupted by glee
A boisterous bagakgak that sets spirits free

The fire burns bright lives intertwine
As moments of connection etch lines in time
Silent pauses linger the embers grow low
But the spirit of friendship continues to glow

With dwindling numbers the night draws near
Yet the warmth of their bond remains crystal clear
Like smoldering coals the fire’s fading breath
Their kinship endures beyond life and death

The two old friends still sitting there
Strumming their guitars with tender care
Their voices blend softly their music takes flight
Carried by mountains into the starlit night

Through valleys and peaks their spirits ascend
A testament to a friendship that will never end
For regardless of changes through any endeavor
They’ll be friends forever and ever
